Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for a paid subscription to OIO (the “Service”), operated by Albert Megbenyo, based in Ghana. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
1. How you are billed
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by our authorized reseller and merchant of record, who issues your invoice and handles the transaction on our behalf. Refund requests are honored through that same payment processor.
2. 14-day right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers)
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction, without giving a reason, and receive a full refund.
Because the Service is supplied digitally and access begins immediately, by completing your purchase you request that we start providing the Service during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the Service has been fully performed. Where the Service has only been partially used within the 14-day window, we will refund a proportionate amount at our discretion.
3. Subscription renewals
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Charges for a renewal that has already started are generally non-refundable, except as required by law or as described in this policy.
- If you are charged for a renewal you intended to cancel and contact us within 7 days of that charge, we will normally refund it, provided the Service has not been substantially used in the new period.
4. When we may refuse a refund
- The request falls outside the windows described above and no legal right applies.
- The account was suspended or terminated for a breach of our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy.
- We detect fraud, abuse, or repeated refund-and-rebuy behavior.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@oio.app from the address on your account, including your name, the email used at checkout, and the approximate date and amount of the charge. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days).
6. Currency and taxes
Refunds are issued in the original currency of the transaction. Any taxes collected at checkout are refunded together with the corresponding amount where applicable.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated in line with our Terms of Service.
